The Timberwolves finally moved off of their long-time franchise icon, Karl Anthony Towns and he ended up with the New York Knicks. The move may seem cut and dry on paper, but in reality was one of the most complicated and unique trades that have surfaced in quite some time. Due to the extremely high team payroll of the Knicks and Timberwolves, the Charlotte Hornets had to be brought in to make it legal.
